The Creative Machine

"The Creative Machine" is an exploration of the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and human creativity through Video Art. It utilises Midjourney, DALL-E 2, and Stable Diffusion to create visuals based on my photography project, “Nubela 星云”.

This film questions whether AI is becoming more human-like and examines the implications of using digital tools as a crutch for overcoming creative blocks. If humans can no longer create without AI, “The Creative Machine,” does it still constitute a genuine creative journey when we masking our struggles with technology?

Context:

In 2100, "The Creative Machine" emerges as a groundbreaking neuroscience project designed to capture and track human creativity. Artists across various fields use the machine to generate ideas from a vast database, helping them overcome creative blocks.

One artist, soon becomes obsessed to it. As she delves deeper, the line between creator and creation blurs, until she and the machine are indistinguishably intertwined.
